Q: How will Kirkwood Bank & Trust Online Banking benefit me?
A: Kirkwood Bank & Trust is striving to make banking as easy and convenient as possible for you. Online Banking allows you to access your accounts at your convenience via the internet from your home or office, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In addition, we are providing KB&T Online Banking at no charge to our customers. You may use KB&T Online to:

  • Pay bills
  • View personal checks
  • Transfer funds between accounts
  • Obtain balance information on accounts
  • Review transactions on accounts
  • Obtain interest information
  • Make loan payments
  • Setup personalized reminders and alerts

Q: How much does KB&T Online Banking cost?
A: KB&T Online Banking is FREE! Our free Online Banking offers the basic features such as transferring funds and checking balances, as well as more advanced features including viewing check images, Bill Pay and External Transfers (transfers from your KB&T account to an account at another financial institution).

Q: How do I enroll for KB&T Online Banking?
A: To enroll for KB&T Online:

  1. Go to our website at www.kirkwoodbank.com
  2. Click on the "Enroll Now" button
  3. Read the KB&T Online Banking Agreement and click on "I Agree"
  4. Complete the First Time User Information and click "Submit"
  5. Enter New Access ID and Password and click "Submit"
  6. Complete the Security Data Information and click "Submit"

Q: What do I need to access KB&T Online Banking?
A: You will need a connection to the Internet and either Internet Explorer version 6.0 or higher or Netscape version 7.0 or higher. You must have an account with Kirkwood Bank & Trust.

Q: Is KB&T Online Banking secure?
A: When you do your banking on KB&T Online Banking, you can be assured that you are in a secure environment where your account information is safe. Our Online Banking System uses industry standard technology including password-controlled entry and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol. Firewalls and filter routers act as security guards for your data passing back and forth to the computers. KB&T Online Banking will automatically lock a User out if an incorrect Password is entered 3 consecutive times. If a user is locked out because they have exceeded the number of allowable password attempts, they must contact Kirkwood Bank & Trust to be reset.

Q: What can I do to increase the security of the system?
A: Keep the password you establish confidential. Do not share it with anyone. Avoid choosing a password that can be easy to guess. Always remember to "Log Off" the KB&T Online System if you will be away from your computer. If you believe that an unauthorized user has obtained your Access ID and Password, contact Kirkwood Bank & Trust immediately.

Q: Will Kirkwood Bank & Trust ever need to request my Access ID or Password from me?
A: Kirkwood Bank & Trust will NEVER under any circumstances email you requesting your Access ID or Password for verification or any other reason. If you should ever get an email requesting this information, do not answer it, but please contact one of our Kirkwood Bank & Trust offices immediately.

Q: Can I change my Access ID?
A: No, once you select your Access ID, it cannot be changed. If you MUST have a different one, please contact the bank for assistance in setting up a new account.

Q: Can I change my Password?
A: Yes, once you are logged into your Online Banking account, click on the "Options" tab.

Q: What if I forget my Password or get locked out?
A: Users have three tries to Login before their Password is locked out. For security reasons, we do not have access to your Password. However, if you forget your password, you can select "Forgot Password" on the Password Screen and we will email you a password. After logging in using the password we emailed you, you will be prompted to reset the password.

Q: What if I forget my Access ID?
A: Please contact us at 701.258.6550 or 800.492.4955 between 8:00am and 5:00pm CST Monday -Friday.

Q: What if I am unable to sign into KB&T Online Banking?
A: Kirkwood Bank & Trust periodically has to perform updates to the Online Banking System. These updates are usually transparent to the end user or performed in the early morning hours to minimize customer inconvenience. Otherwise, KB&T Online Banking is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you experience problems signing into the system at any other time, please contact Kirkwood Bank & Trust.

Q: What if I get an error message?
A: Write down the message and contact the bank. We will work to resolve the problem as soon as possible.

Q: What accounts will I see?
A: All open accounts in which you have direct ownership will be activated for your Online Banking account. If you close an account, you will no longer be able to view it on your Online Banking account.

Q: How do I sign up for External Transfer?
A: External Transfers are transfers between your KB&T account and an account at another financial institution. For security reasons, activation of this feature must be done internally to best protect your accounts from fraud. Q: When are transactions available to view on KB&T Online Banking?
A: Transactions are available to view immediately. The KB&T Online Banking System is equipped with real time account information.

Q: What are the transaction cut-off times for KB&T Online Banking?
A: We process transactions and update information on business days. Our business days are Monday through Friday. (Federal Holidays are not included). Transfers between Internal Accounts made after 6:00pm, and ACH and External Transfers made after 3:30 pm CST will be processed on the next business day.

Q: Can I setup a one time or automatic transfer?
A: Yes. There are a number of ways to set up transfers. Refer to online assistance once you are logged into your account.

Q: Can I set up Alerts?
A: Yes. Click on the "Alerts" link on the Welcome Page once you have accessed your online account. You may set various alerts to be sent to you, and you will also receive alerts from KB&T regarding important information.
